Cody is a ten-year-old Black Lab with the unique skill to detect termite infestations through his exceptional sense of smell.  Cody began his instruction at the Canine Academy Training Center in Austin, TX where he was certified in April of 2005. Cody continued his education with two more years of “on the job” training with his handler Clay Davis and in May, 2007 he received state certification from the University of Florida. Cody and Clay make a dynamic termite detection duo for Nader’s Pest Raiders.  They stay most active during termite swarm season when termites typically emerge inside homes, building tunnels that are often hard to find by the human eye, but will put their skills to use whenever necessary to protect our customers’ families and homes.

When Cody isn’t busy sniffing out termites he loves to attend special demonstrations and trade shows and enjoys his everyday duties as man’s best friend.

Band Appearances

Lonesome Bert & the Skinny Lizards coalesced out of the music mythosphere in 2005. The quartet’s high- temp, bouncy blues-folk style derives from many great influences such as “Bob Dylan, Greg Brown, Tom Rush and John Prine”. Bert Hodge writes the lion share of their tunes. Quirky and always thought provoking, Hodges lyrics have the ability to inspire, enlighten and enthrall you. Bert’s “Tom Paxton” like fingerpicking style on guitar mixed with Chris Clark baring down sixteenth notes on the up right bass, Steve Mitherz precision punch on the pandeiro while allowing Mark Saunders, the newest member of the band, to belt out his ol’ hippie style fiddle arrangements atop this unique sound. Lonesome Bert has coined their sound as “Bumptime Music”. While currently working on their third full length album, it would appear the boys are un-stopable. The momentum increases as they receive regular radio play all throughout Florida. Opening for acts such as Rambling Jack Elliot, Arlo Guthrie, Aztec Two Step and Greg Brown. Playing the seediest bars to giant stage festivals, the boys do not discriminate. Lonesome Bert & the Skinny Lizards play on ten, no matter the gig. Their live show is an experience in all original songs of storytelling/swing/blues with a drive behind the beat that will get you shakin’.
The Seaweed Band, From St. Augustine has been rockin’ the Florida coast for the last 4 years. Chip Kirk, on vocals and guitar, Danny Conlin on vocals and guitar are backed by Scott Litke on Bass Guitar and Johnny Doering on the Drums. They play a wide range of styles form Rock to blues to country in their own inimitable style. Their website is seaweedband.com where you can listen to some tunes and check out their next gig.
Captain Hook is a rock band based out of Jacksonville, Florida. The line up is unique, professional, and musically talented. This five piece band is a group of friends that Weaver, the founding member, has encountered during his time in Florida. The fans of Captain Hook call it “the rock show.” The show is different every night. The band plays with energy and enthusiasm because that’s what they love to do and the audience enjoys this. Captain Hook avoids the overplayed covers you hear many bands doing. Captain Hook mixes their original music with unique covers from many eras and genres that make people say, “I don’t believe they’re playing that”.
Local St. Augustine band Penguin Teeth is comprised of Bjorn Hanrahan, 16, lead guitar and vocals, Christian Powers, 15, drums and vocals, and Evan Ellison, 15, bass and vocals. These three next door neighbors are self taught musicians. They formed their band 2 years ago when they discovered that they shared a passion for music, particularly classic rock and blues. Since that time, they have performed at many local establishments, special events and benefits. Most recently, the boys performed at the St. Augustine Beach Pier for the "Music By The Sea" Concert Series, as well as recording an evening of original music for the local television show "Your Jax Music". Please check out their website, penguinteeth.com for more information, tour dates, or to book the band.
